【Summary】Toyota is set to resume operations at all 14 assembly plants in Japan after a computer system failure caused a production halt. Toyota operations resume after production halt

Toyota announced that it would resume operations at all 14 of its assembly plants in Japan on Wednesday. This comes after a computer system failure caused production to halt the day before. Initially, production was planned to restart at 12 plants and 25 lines, with two exceptions: the Miyata plant in Fukuoka Prefecture and Daihatsu Motor's plant in Kyoto. However, the company later stated that all plants would resume operations from the afternoon onwards.

There were concerns that the sudden stoppage in production could be attributed to a cyberattack. However, Toyota dismissed this possibility and stated that an investigation was underway. It is worth noting that in late February last year, the automaker faced a similar situation when production lines came to a standstill due to a cyberattack on one of its parts suppliers.
