Toyota Rumion: Bookings Open for New Model

Toyota has officially announced the start of bookings and the prices of the new Toyota Rumion. The MPV is priced at Rs 10.29 lakh onwards, ex-showroom, and is available in six grades. Toyota says that deliveries will commence from the 8th of September onwards.

The Toyota Rumion comes in various grades with different prices. The S MT (Petrol) is priced at Rs 10,29,000, the S AT (Petrol) at Rs 11,89,000, the G MT (Petrol) at Rs 11,45,000, the V MT (Petrol) at Rs 12,18,000, the V AT (Petrol) at Rs 13,68,000, and the S MT (CNG) at Rs 11,24,000.

This 7-seater MPV is equipped with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine, which produces 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. The CNG variant of the engine produces 87bhp and 122Nm of torque. The Rumion offers both manual and torque converter automatic gearbox options.

The interior of the new Toyota Rumion features a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. It also includes Toyota i-Connect, which allows users to control the climate and other functions remotely. The MPV has a dual-tone interior with wood inserts, giving it a stylish and premium feel.

In terms of safety, the Rumion is equipped with dual front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, an engine immobilizer, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), among other features. The Rumion will face competition from other MPVs in the market, such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6, as well as the Kia Carens.
