Toyota Teases Electric FJ Cruiser Replacement

Home > Industry Analysis > Content

【Summary】Toyota has potentially teased an electric successor to the FJ Cruiser. The new SUV appears to be larger than the Compact Cruiser concept and could rival the upcoming Rivian R2. It may also be a three-row electric SUV, possibly the bZ5X, though there are some discrepancies. More information is expected from Toyota soon.

The car shown in the image is not the Compact Cruiser concept, although it has a cool design. The original concept was smaller and intended for the compact SUV segment. In comparison, this new SUV seems to be about 20% to 30% larger, potentially positioning it as a competitor to the upcoming Rivian R2.

There is another vehicle hiding in the shadows, which bears a resemblance to the bZ5X, a three-row electric SUV. Toyota has previously announced plans to build a new three-row electric SUV in the USA, and the image suggests that the teased vehicle has enough length for that. However, it is worth noting that this vehicle was teased in an international presentation, not the American one. Additionally, the area behind the C-pillar does not align with the original concept. More information from Toyota is needed, but it is expected that we won't have to wait long.
