Used car prices surge with unexpected model leading the way

Auto Trader's latest Retail Price Index has revealed that overall, used car retail prices have been increasing for 41 consecutive months. This means that the value of used cars has been on the rise for quite some time.

According to the figures for the month ending August 20, the Peugeot Partner Teepee has seen the largest price hike, with a year-on-year rise of 17.1%. The top 10 list also includes small and affordable cars like the Fiat Panda, Volkswagen Beetle, and Hyundai i30.
Other models that have made it to the list are the Volkswagen up!, Citroen Berlingo, and Hyundai i10. The only premium brand model on the list is the Mercedes SL Class.
