The mystery of the Lamborghini from the movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" has been solved, revealing that three Countaches were used during filming. This included one hero car, a backup car, and another car that was intentionally smashed for the film. While the surviving Countach was auctioned earlier this year, the crashed car has recently surfaced.

Bonhams, an auction house, showcased the iconic car with a series of remarkable photos. In the film, it is difficult to fully appreciate the extent of the damage to the Countach, but director Martin Scorsese went to great lengths to ensure its destruction. According to the owner of the pristine car, Scorsese initially smashed the Countach using conventional methods but was unsatisfied. As the story goes, he had the car crash into other objects to create a more convincing appearance.

Undoubtedly, the scene featuring the Countach is one of the most memorable in the movie. Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Jordan Belfort, attempts to drive home while under the influence of quaaludes. The sequence shows DiCaprio crawling towards the Lamborghini, struggling to get into the driver's seat, and miraculously managing to drive one mile before destroying the car.

Since the completion of the film, the car has been perfectly preserved in its post-crash condition. Every dent and scratch was meticulously created by Scorsese's crew. Despite its damaged state, the smashed-up Lamborghini has become one of the most iconic movie cars of all time. It even comes with various pieces of memorabilia from the film, such as a director's chair and clapboard signed by DiCaprio, Scorsese, and Margot Robbie, as well as a crew sweater and a Jordan Belfort costume. However, no quaaludes are included.
