The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era has been unveiled as a unique and meticulously adorned tribute to the brand's rich history. This special edition, designed according to the preferences of a highly esteemed customer, celebrates Bugatti's iconic W16 engine and the legendary models that have solidified its status as one of the world's most renowned luxury brands.
The car is adorned with a hand-drawn mural showcasing 45 historic Bugatti models, a labor-intensive process that took over 400 hours to complete. Bugatti itself described the undertaking as "extremely intimidating." The ink used for the mural was specifically developed for longevity, ensuring that it will last the lifetime of the vehicle.
On the passenger door, 26 cars are depicted, including the Type 41 Royale, which was hailed as the world's most luxurious car upon its launch in 1926. Also featured is the Type 57 SC Atlantic, a personal favorite of Bugatti's former design director, Achim Anscheidt, who supervised this project.
The driver's side of the car showcases the "modern" era of Bugatti, with sketches of the EB110, Veyron, and Chiron itself. As a tribute to the 16-cylinder engine that Bugatti has utilized for the past two decades, the doors also feature sketches of the 3712 components that comprise the engine.
The entire vehicle is adorned in a two-tone color scheme of Doré gold and Nocturne black. Achim Anscheidt, who recently retired from his position as Bugatti's chief designer, expressed his pride in assisting customers in realizing their dreams, but noted that commissions of this magnitude are exceptionally rare, with only one or two creations of this scale typically seen each year.
