Buick Wildcat Design Study Outshines Concept
【Summary】Buick shares behind-the-scenes look at first iteration of Buick Wildcat design study, which looks better than the actual concept. Buick shifting towards electrified crossovers and debuting new logo.
The General Motors Design studio recently provided a glimpse into the creation of the first version of the modern Buick Wildcat. This concept car made its debut just over a year ago, showcasing Buick's future design direction. The influence of the Wildcat can already be seen in newer models such as the 2024 Envista.
In addition to showcasing the Wildcat, Buick used the video introduction to symbolize its shift away from traditional sedans like the LaCrosse and Regal. Instead, Buick is embracing a new era of electrified crossovers. To further emphasize this change, Buick has even unveiled a brand new logo.
Interestingly, the animated car featured in the video, which was used to convince Buick's management to build the concept, appears more production-ready than the final product. In our opinion, this version of the Wildcat is even more attractive than the original concept, which was quite radical in design.
