The all-new Porsche Cayenne has arrived in the UK, boasting a larger, more efficient design and improved looks. Despite having a longer wheelbase, the car appears smaller due to its taut body and sharper front end.

The Cayenne is Porsche's best-selling model, bringing in significant revenue for the company. The latest version, the top-spec Turbo, is the fastest 4x4 in the world.

While some may consider the Cayenne Turbo to be expensive and unnecessary for most buyers, a closer look reveals the extraordinary achievements of this car. It offers the benefits of a full-size 4x4, including a comfortable ride, elevated seating position, and spacious interior. But that's not all - the Turbo is as fast as a 911 Carrera 4S in a straight line and nearly as quick through corners. It also boasts a 185kg weight reduction compared to the previous model, as well as a 31% improvement in fuel economy.

The interior of the Cayenne has undergone significant changes, featuring a Panamera-style rising center console and high-quality materials throughout. The car is also lighter, thanks to Porsche's Intelligent Performance mantra, and comes with standard stop-start technology for improved efficiency.

Under the hood, the Cayenne Turbo is powered by a 4.8-litre twin-turbo engine that delivers 493bhp. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds, accompanied by a satisfying exhaust note.

Despite its size, the Cayenne handles exceptionally well, with precise steering and minimal body roll. Porsche's Dynamic Chassis control, three-mode PASM suspension, and Torque Vectoring Plus system ensure the car corners flat and fast.

The Range Rover Supercharged is the Cayenne's main rival in terms of luxury and comfort, but it falls short in terms of performance. However, the Range Rover excels in off-road capabilities.
