Chinese firm reveals six-wheel imitation of Tesla Cybertruck
【Summary】Chinese electric-car start-up Xpeng has unveiled a six-wheel concept vehicle, resembling the Tesla Cybertruck, that can carry and launch a 'flying car' from its trunk. The SUV, called the 'Land Aircraft Carrier', is designed for emergency services in rugged terrains and features a hybrid engine. While currently a concept, it could potentially join Xpeng's lineup of vehicles in China.
Chinese electric-car start-up Xpeng is set to make a splash in the automotive industry with its latest concept vehicle. The company has revealed a six-wheel SUV that bears a striking resemblance to Tesla's Cybertruck. However, Xpeng's creation comes with a unique twist - it has the ability to carry and launch a 'flying car' from its rear compartment.
The Land Aircraft Carrier, as it is called, has been designed with emergency service providers in mind, particularly those who operate in challenging terrains such as mountains. The SUV's rugged design, reminiscent of the Cybertruck, features flat sides, angular panels, and an unpainted steel finish.
Unlike the all-electric Cybertruck, Xpeng's SUV is a hybrid, meaning it relies on a petrol engine for power. This ensures that it can handle dangerous conditions and provide the necessary performance required by emergency responders.
One of the most intriguing features of the Land Aircraft Carrier is its rear hatch, which opens up to reveal a storage compartment for a helicopter-style 'flying car'. This two-person aircraft can be deployed from the cargo area, offering a unique mode of transportation for emergency situations.
Although the Land Aircraft Carrier is currently just a concept, there is a possibility that it may become part of Xpeng's vehicle lineup in the future. The company already has four other electric cars in development and has partnered with German car giant Volkswagen to co-develop models for the Chinese market.
The innovative design and functionality of Xpeng's concept vehicle showcase the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric mobility. With its eye-catching aesthetics and practical features, the Land Aircraft Carrier could revolutionize emergency response vehicles and pave the way for a new era of transportation.
