Electric trikes have never been considered the epitome of coolness, but the Lámpago e-trike is here to change that perception. Manufactured in Turkey, the name Lámpago comes from the Spanish word for Lightning, which is quite ironic considering its top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), as pointed out by RideApart.

Delta trikes, which have two wheels in the rear, are not known for their stability in turns. Therefore, it's probably a good idea for the Lámpago to have a lower top speed. Additionally, the inclusion of a rear seat for a pillion rider would further worsen the situation as it increases the center of gravity along with a passenger.

Despite its appearance, the Lámpago is being marketed as a mobility device rather than a thrilling ride. Interestingly, it doesn't require a motorcycle license in the European market it is intended for. Instead, riders can operate the Lámpago with just an AM license, which is meant for two-wheelers and three-wheelers powered by engines of 50cc or smaller, essentially mopeds.

The design of the Lámpago is undeniably eye-catching, from the small left-side door to its Vespa-like styling. The Chesterfield leather chair upholstery and vintage two-tone color scheme add to its charm. Furthermore, the rear storage bag and spare wheel cover provide delightful vintage accents to this little electric scooter.

However, the Lámpago's underpowered drivetrain is a drawback. It is equipped with a 60V and 30Ah Li-ion battery pack, offering only 1.8 kWh of battery capacity, which is about half of what a typical urban electric scooter has. The tiny 1,000W electric motor also lacks power compared to many electric bicycles, resulting in potentially unsatisfactory acceleration and hill climbing abilities.

With its lower power design, the Lámpago seems to be positioned as a replacement for e-bikes or e-scooters. For those who want to stylishly get around their city and have the option to bring a passenger along for the ride, the Lámpago appears to be a fun choice!
