An Arkansas man named Nathaniel made headlines over a decade ago when he revealed his intimate relationship with his car. The car in question was a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo named Chase. Nathaniel's unorthodox affair was featured on an episode of TLC's 'My Strange Addiction', where he expressed his love for the car by engaging in intimate acts with its machinery. However, Nathaniel recently shared an update on TLC's Instagram, revealing that his relationship with Chase had come to an end.

Nathaniel explained that Chase was written off four years ago during a routine checkup, leaving him devastated. Despite trying to move on with several new cars, Nathaniel admitted that he couldn't replace Chase and described his current fling as more of a "friends with benefits" situation. The loss of his "soulmate" still weighs heavily on his mind, and he expressed his sadness that Chase is no longer a part of his life.

In the original episode of 'My Strange Addiction', Nathaniel passionately kissed Chase's bumper and steering wheel, professing his love for the car. He described it as love at first sight when he laid eyes on the classic 1998 Chevy at a resale lot. Nathaniel felt a deep connection with the car, as if its parts were made for him.

The accident that led to Chase's demise involved a collapsed metal structure falling on the car during maintenance. Nathaniel admitted that he still thinks about the accident and feels that Chase deserved better. Nathaniel's attraction to objects, known as objectophilia or objectum-sexuality, is a rare condition. Others who experience this condition have been attracted to objects such as a Boeing-737 plane and a bundle of balloons.

To cope with the loss, Nathaniel has turned his bedroom into a shrine for Chase. He uses Chase's bumper as the headboard for his bed and has filled the room with nostalgic pictures of the two of them together. Nathaniel finds solace in this space, feeling that it keeps Chase close to him.

Although Nathaniel still thinks about Chase, he has moved on with several other cars. One of his new loves is a Lexus ES330 named Lex, whom he refers to as his "baby girl." Nathaniel has expanded his car collection and now has an SUV named Jet, a black sedan named Jason, and a jet ski named Adam. He shows affection for each of his cars in various ways, including intimacy.

Nathaniel's expanding "family" also includes a luxurious sedan named Jordan, whom he describes as very gentlemanly. He expresses his affection for Jordan by giving him kisses and showing him love. Additionally, Nathaniel has a strong bond with Jet, whom he finds "manly" and admires for its "cute butt." He also enjoys spending time with his jet ski Adam, feeling like he's hugging him when he wraps his legs around him.

Despite his growing collection of cars, Nathaniel claims that none of them feel jealous of each other. He has plenty of love to go around and continues to explore his unique attractions to objects.
