Electric motorbike powered by EGO's innovative battery technology.

EGO POWER is well-known for its electric lawn care tools, including mowers, string trimmers, and chain saws. However, the company has now introduced something that stands out from its work-focused catalog - an electric mini bike. The EGO POWER+ Mini Bike utilizes the same lithium-ion battery packs as their leaf blowers, allowing riders to enjoy the thrill of flying over jumps.

Although the mini bike is not street legal, it can provide a lot of fun on dirt trails and off-road riding areas. With a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), it would be challenging to keep up with traffic on most roads.

Rather than using the mini bike for commuting, riders are more likely to spend their time off-road, enjoying the experience of slinging dirt with its cute little off-road tires.

The mini bike is powered by two 56V 7.5Ah ARC Lithium batteries from EGO, offering a maximum range of up to 18 miles (29 km) with 840 Wh of battery capacity. It features three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and the 18-mile range is most likely measured in Eco mode. Additionally, there is a reverse mode, which is essential given the bike's size.

Despite its toy-like appearance, the mini bike is well-equipped. It boasts full suspension and hydraulic brakes, providing a decent ride for a motorcycle made from lawn mower parts.

Although the power of the rear hub motor is unknown, reaching a speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) on a bike the size of a rocking horse would undoubtedly feel fast.

The pricing and availability of the mini bike are currently unknown. Limited information and images are available, leaving potential buyers eager for more details. EGO has only mentioned that it will be available "soon."

While this may not be the first electric mini bike on the market, it is the first to use lawn mower batteries as a power source. Other electric mini bikes have primarily been designed for road use. An off-road option like the EGO mini bike could be incredibly enjoyable, particularly for those with land to explore. The swappable batteries also allow riders to extend the 18-mile range as needed.

However, it's essential to avoid using up all the battery packs on the same day you need to mow your lawn, as that would leave you unable to complete the task on your Honey-Do list.
