One problem that the U.S. is facing is that voters are not convinced by its attempts to imitate China's economic model. This irony is evident as the country's industrial policy is currently falling apart. A prime example of this is the collapsing electric-vehicle bubble, which serves as a lesson on how government-built industries can also fail due to government interference.
