A potential Tesla Cybertruck release candidate was recently discovered by the side of the road in California after experiencing engine problems. A passerby took advantage of the situation and managed to capture some spy shots of the Cybertruck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the abandoned Tesla Cybertruck have since been shared online. It appears that a Tesla engineer attempted to fix the issue but was unsuccessful, leading to the decision to cover the vehicle and leave it on the roadside in Los Altos Hills, California. This presented an opportunity for a curious bystander to take some covert photos of the forlorn truck.

The images reveal that the Tesla Cybertruck is covered with a reflective sheet, but it also features a familiar camouflage pattern. This suggests that it could be a release candidate or possibly a prototype that has undergone terrain testing in other parts of the world. Additionally, shots of the bottom of the Cybertruck show a cluster of holes that may be intended for a truck reversing speaker.

The expert describes the Cybertruck's suspension as having a rear lower A-arm made of two welded steel pieces, which differs from the casting at the front. The engineer also notes the presence of an actuator that allows for dynamic damping adjustment. Overall, the comments on the Cybertruck's suspension are positive, highlighting its simplicity and robustness, although it is acknowledged that this could be a prototype system.
