Gordon Ramsay, the British chef, is on a mission to redeem himself after a culinary fail that garnered criticism from fans. In a video posted on Instagram, Ramsay explained that he wanted to make a grilled cheese sandwich that would surpass his previous attempt. He acknowledged the backlash he received for his 2020 tutorial, where he used the wrong cheese, thick bread slices, and failed to properly melt the cheese.
Determined to make amends, Ramsay revealed that he would be using a more powerful oven this time. He teased his followers by describing it as a V12, 1,200 horsepower engine, and the "sexiest oven" they've ever seen. To everyone's surprise, the camera unveiled a midnight blue Aston Martin sports car. Ramsay wasted no time and stacked cheese slices between toasted bread, wrapping the sandwich in aluminum foil. He then placed the wrapped sandwich on top of the car's engine.
With excitement building, Ramsay closed the hood of the Aston Martin and revved the engine as he drove around the race track. After a few laps, he retrieved the sandwich and shared the video on Instagram, leaving his followers eager to see the final result. While many enjoyed his unique cooking method, some expressed disappointment that the video ended before the sandwich was unveiled.
Aside from his sandwich adventure, Ramsay also shared news about the return of his popular series, Kitchen Nightmares. The show, which originally ran from 2007 to 2014, followed Ramsay as he helped struggling restaurants. After a nearly decade-long hiatus, the reboot of Kitchen Nightmares is set to premiere on September 25th on FOX. Ramsay revealed that his decision to cancel the show was influenced by a negative experience at a ski resort in the South of France.
