Hyundai Elantra N global debut

Hyundai has recently launched the 2024 Elantra N globally, coinciding with the eighth anniversary of the 'N' brand. In South Korea, it is marketed as the Avante N, while in Australia, it is known as the i30 Sedan N. To promote the new Elantra N, Hyundai released a performance film showcasing actual vehicles owned by N enthusiasts.

The updated design of the Elantra N includes a wider front, an updated grille adorned with the 'N' badge, side sills, a rear spoiler, 19-inch wheels, and dual exhaust tips. The headlights have been given a sleeker look, with the daytime running lights extending across the width of the bonnet.

Inside the cabin, the Elantra N offers sportier bucket seats compared to the standard Elantra. It also features a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system equipped with Bose speakers, connected car technology, and soft-touch materials on various surfaces.

Hyundai has implemented several enhancements to improve the handling of the new Elantra N. These include reinforced engine mounts, tweaked suspension and ESC systems, a new steering gearbox yoke with reduced joint friction for enhanced steering precision, and new tire pressure settings to optimize load balance on the axles.

Powering the Elantra N is a specially designed 2.0-litre GDi turbocharged engine, exclusively developed for the N range. This engine generates an impressive output of 276bhp and 392Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed DCT gearbox, enabling the Elantra N to achieve a top speed of 280kmph.
