Lanzador EV concept leaks before Lamborghini's official reveal
【Summary】The Lamborghini Lanzador EV concept, the brand's first fully electric car, has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling at Monterey Car Week. The images reveal a high-riding 2+2 vehicle with styling elements from the Urus and Sián models. The interior features digital displays, frame-like bucket seats, and ample cargo space. The Lanzador will be sold in limited numbers, similar to the Sián, and is expected to showcase the design and technology of the upcoming Revuelto hypercar.
The Lamborghini Lanzador concept has been revealed ahead of its debut at Monterey Car Week. The leaked images confirm that the car will be a high-riding 2+2, combining design elements from the Lamborghini Urus and Sián. Its silhouette is reminiscent of the 2008 Estoque, although that model never made it into production.
Inside the Lanzador, there are two digital displays: one for the instrument panel in front of the driver and another for the front passenger's infotainment needs. The centre console features switchgear, including a starter button that resembles something out of a fighter jet.
The seating arrangement consists of thin, frame-like bucket seats for each occupant. The rear seats can be folded over their bases, although not completely flat, to create additional cargo space. Practicality seems to have been a priority for the Lanzador, as the leaked images reveal ample space beneath the hatchback boot and a frunk that can accommodate specially made overnight bags.
Similar to the Sián, the Lanzador will have a limited production run. This approach allows Lamborghini to showcase the design and technology that will be featured in their upcoming Revuelto hypercar.
Lamborghini has a history of creating one-off models that provide a glimpse into the company's future direction. These prototypes and experimental concepts help shape the development of future Lamborghinis. In the past, these one-offs were often showcased at motor show parades. More recently, Lamborghini has introduced a new category called "few-offs," which consists of limited runs of cars for their most loyal customers. These "few-offs" serve as a preview of the advanced technical solutions that will be used in future production cars. The same formula will be followed at Monterey Car Week, where Lamborghini will unveil the prototype of its first fully electric car.
