Luxurious Features in Toyota's Priciest Car
【Summary】Toyota's most expensive vehicle, the Capstone edition of the Sequoia SUV, offers luxurious features and technological options. Despite the low sales of the base model, the Capstone edition is priced at almost $80,000, making it more comfortable and enjoyable for its occupants.
Toyota, the best-selling auto brand in the United States, had a successful year in 2022 with nearly two million vehicles sold. While models like the RAV4, Camry, and Corolla were the top sellers, Toyota also saw strong sales in the truck and SUV categories with the Tacoma and Highlander, selling over 200,000 units of each model domestically.
However, the full-sized Sequoia SUV was not as popular, only selling a little over 5,000 units in 2022. This could be attributed to its estimated fuel economy of 20 MPG and a base price of nearly $60,000. Despite its lower sales numbers, Toyota offers a luxury trim version of the Sequoia known as the "Capstone" edition.
The Capstone edition of the Sequoia comes with additional luxury features and technological options, aiming to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for both the driver and passengers. These extras come at a price, pushing the base price of the Capstone edition to almost $80,000. If customers opt for the available air suspension package, the cost will exceed this threshold due to all the features included in this trim.
