Meghan's UK Return Unlikely Due to Kate Curtsey Issue, Claims Diana's Biographer
【Summary】Meghan Markle is unlikely to return to the UK and face curtseying to Kate Middleton, according to royal biographer Andrew Morton. He dismissed the possibility of the Sussexes moving back to Britain and suggested they have their own lives in California. The article also mentions Prince Harry's upcoming solo trip to the UK and the strained relationship between the royal family members.
A royal biographer has suggested that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, will not want to return to the UK in the future and face curtseying to the Princess of Wales. Andrew Morton, who collaborated with Diana, Princess of Wales on his 1992 book, ruled out a move back from the US for Meghan and Prince Harry. He stated that they have their own lives in California and he doesn't see them curtseying to Kate Middleton as a possibility.
Meghan would only have to curtsey to Kate once the princess becomes Queen, as royal highnesses only bow and curtsey to majesties. Prince Harry is set to make a solo trip to the UK this week to attend the WellChild awards in London and the Invictus Games in Germany, but Meghan will join him later. It is reported that he will not be meeting his father, the King, or his brother, the Prince of Wales, due to their troubled relationship.
In his autobiography, Harry explored the fractious relationship between Meghan and Kate. He recounted incidents such as Meghan saying Kate was suffering from "baby brain" and the row over Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress. Mr. Morton described how Princess Diana had wanted Harry to be a "wingman" to William and hoped that Charles would move to Italy with Camilla, leaving William to become King. However, these things never happened.
Mr. Morton recently spoke about the 26th anniversary of Diana's death and the upcoming release of unheard audio tapes in a documentary. He described hearing her voice again as "eerie" and mentioned how some elements of the recordings make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Diana's biography, written by Mr. Morton, revealed her unhappiness in her marriage and her struggles with bulimia.
