New Title: "Nürburgring EV lap record broken by Rimac Nevera"

The Rimac Nevera has set a new record lap time on the Nürburgring, breaking the previous record held by the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Package. The hypercar, driven by Martin Kodrić, completed the lap in 7:05.293, cutting 20 seconds off the Tesla's time. However, it didn't come close to the overall production car lap record set by the Mercedes-AMG One. Despite this, the Nevera is still one of the fastest road cars in the world, with impressive performance figures including a top speed of 258mph and a 0-249-0mph time of just 29.93 seconds.

The Nevera is based on the Concept_Two, but Rimac has made it into a tangible car that customers can purchase. It comes with a hefty price tag of £1.72 million, plus taxes. The car is powered by four individual 'Permanent Magnet' motors that generate a peak power of 1887bhp and torque of 1741lb ft. These motors draw power from a 120kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which provides a predicted range of around 340 miles. The construction of the Nevera features a central carbon fiber monocoque tub and aluminum subframes, adding extra stiffness to the car's structure.

The Nevera's suspension is a double wishbone design with adaptive dampers and adjustable ride height. Braking is handled by Rimac's powerful regeneration capability, along with carbon-ceramic discs and six-piston calipers from Brembo. The car also features a predictive and reactive traction management system called 'Rimac All Wheel Torque Vectoring 2', which optimizes torque distribution to each wheel based on various factors. The exterior design of the Nevera has been refined for improved aerodynamics, with active components such as a moveable grille insert, flaps, and a rear wing.

Overall, the Rimac Nevera is an impressive hypercar that offers incredible performance on both the track and the road. With its record-breaking lap time and exceptional speed, it solidifies its position as one of the fastest production cars in the world.
