Porsche 911 S/T Puma Sneakers: The Ultimate Car-Themed Footwear
【Summary】Porsche celebrates 60th anniversary of 911 with 911 S/T sneaker inspired by 1972 model. Sneaker features design elements from the original car, including light blue color and racing number on heel.
Porsche is celebrating not only its 75th anniversary as a brand but also the 60th anniversary of the iconic 911 sports car. To mark this special occasion, Porsche has introduced the Porsche 911 S/T and released two sneaker designs inspired by both the 911 S/T and the original 911 S.
The new 911 S/T takes inspiration from the 1972 911 S and is known for being the lightest car in Porsche's lineup. What makes it even more impressive is that it features the naturally-aspirated flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 RS, paired with a manual gearbox that has shorter ratios and a single-mass flywheel.
In tribute to the classic 911 S 2.5, Porsche Design has unveiled the Puma Retro Sneaker. This sneaker is designed with the same light blue exterior as the 911 S 2.5 and features a retro-grille-bad hangtag design. It even includes the number 56 on the heel, which pays homage to the Porsche 911 that participated in GT racing in 1972. Although it didn't have the S/T name at the time, it was the first to utilize the "S" special racing components. The red-orange laces of the sneaker also give it a Gulf Oil livery look.
