A manufacturing defect in certain car models has prompted a recall in France due to an increased risk of fire. The affected cars, which include models from Dacia and Renault, have been listed on the official Rappel Conso (product recall) website in France.

The website states that the defect is related to incorrect welding of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank, which can result in the release of gas into the passenger compartment, posing a fire hazard.

A total of five models have been recalled, three of which are from the Dacia brand. The Dacia models affected are the Duster, Logan III, and Sandero III. The vehicle reference numbers for these cars are as follows: e19*2007/46*0026*16, e19*2007/46*0026*17, and e19*2007/46*0026*18.

The two Renault vehicles affected by the recall are the Clio V and Captur II. The vehicle reference numbers for the Clio V are e2*2007/46*0676*19 and e2*2007/46*0676*20, while the reference numbers for the Captur II are e2*2007/46*0684*21 and e2*2007/46*0684*22.
