Skoda Enyaq Coupe vRS 2023 extended evaluation

When we decided to run the Skoda Enyaq vRS as part of our long-term test fleet, we had a specific goal in mind. We wanted to see if adding the vRS badge could make an electric car exciting. However, after spending time with the Enyaq vRS, it became clear that it didn't quite live up to our expectations.

Despite adding an extra motor, increasing power, and incorporating sporty design elements, the Enyaq vRS failed to deliver the perfect blend of practicality, performance, and fun that Skoda's vRS line is known for. So, in terms of our initial question, the answer is no, the vRS badge couldn't make this electric car truly exciting.

However, here's the interesting part. While it may not have met our expectations as a performance EV, the Skoda Enyaq vRS is undeniably a great electric vehicle overall. When we remove the influence of the vRS badges and simply evaluate it as a family crossover, it ticks all the boxes. It offers everything you would want from an electric or non-electric family car, in a typically Skoda fashion.

In terms of its appearance, the Enyaq vRS Coupe stands out with its unique design. It looks more like a slightly oversized saloon than an SUV, adding to its visual appeal.
