Renewables firm EnergyForce is currently working on a £1.4m solar and electric vehicle (EV) charging project for Rybrook Automotive Ltd, a national motor dealer. The project involves the installation of nearly 4,000 solar PV panels and 71 EV charging stations across 17 sites in the Midlands and North West of England. Rybrook Automotive will become the first EnergyForce customer to have the new 300KW/400KW rapid chargers installed at its dealerships. The project is expected to generate 1.39MW and help offset approximately 302 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Rybrook Automotive is one of the largest privately owned car dealer groups in the UK, with showrooms in the North West, South West, and the Midlands. The company represents various specialist and luxury car brands, including Bentley, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren, MINI, Pininfarina, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Volvo. The partnership with Rybrook Automotive showcases EnergyForce's expanding presence in the automotive retail sector.

EnergyForce has already installed over 1,000 electric vehicle charge points at car dealerships and manages an average of 122 MWh of EV charging per month. This year alone, the company has delivered 759MWh to charge EVs within the UK car dealership network, marking a 100% increase compared to the previous 12 months.

Chris Kirkwood, chairman of EnergyForce, expressed pride in supporting Rybrook Automotive's sustainability ambitions and expanding its EV charging capabilities. He highlighted the close collaboration between EnergyForce and Rybrook's dealership network to complete the installations, which not only generate clean energy for the sites but also facilitate the charging of an increasing number of EV cars sold and serviced by Rybrook.

Chris Page, property director at Rybrook Automotive, commended EnergyForce for tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of various site locations and the business as a whole. He expressed excitement about the future benefits that the project will bring to their businesses and how it aligns with their long-term strategy to increase sustainability.
