An unfortunate accident on the Delhi-Mumbai-Baroda Expressway near Gurugram resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to three individuals. According to the police, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when an oil tanker, driving on the wrong side, collided with a Rolls-Royce near Umri village under Nagina police station limits.

The collision caused the luxury car to catch fire immediately, but fortunately, all five occupants were rescued in time by their relatives who were following closely in another vehicle. The deceased have been identified as Rampreet and Kuldeep, the driver and helper of the tanker respectively, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh.

The three injured individuals, who were traveling in the luxury car, have been identified as Divya and Tasbir from Chandigarh, and Vikas from Delhi. They are currently receiving treatment at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital.

After receiving information about the accident, the police promptly arrived at the scene. Assistant Sub-Inspector Ashok Kumar, the investigating officer, stated that an FIR will be registered once the statements of the injured individuals are recorded.

The family members of the victims have been informed about the accident, providing them with the necessary support during this difficult time. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and adhering to traffic rules to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring.
