Tesla Cybertruck deliveries, profitability delay

Tesla is set to start delivering its highly anticipated Cybertruck electric ute in late November, although full production of the innovative vehicle is not expected until 2025. The Cybertruck was first unveiled in 2019 and has garnered the interest of over a million potential buyers, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. However, the company's current capacity is around 125,000 units, with full production projected to reach 250,000 vehicles per year by 2025.

Musk described the Cybertruck as a "special product" that comes along only once in a while and acknowledged that its unique design has contributed to some of the delays. He hinted at the utilization of new and more complex manufacturing methods, emphasizing the immense work required to achieve volume production and make the vehicle financially viable for consumers.

Recent months have seen an increase in test vehicles conducting real-world testing as production ramps up at Tesla's GigaTexas factory in Austin. A photo shows three Tesla Cybertrucks being transported on the back of a Tesla Semi, with the caption stating that Cybertruck deliveries will begin in November 2023.

Tesla has also shared an official message on the Cybertruck's social media account, showcasing the truck's frontal light beam surrounded by fog. The message confirms that the delivery event will take place on November 30 at the GigaTexas facility, where the utilitarian truck will be manufactured.
