Apple Shortcuts have just become even more useful for Tesla owners. In the latest version (4.24.0) of Tesla's mobile app for iOS, support for Apple Shortcuts has been rolled out. Shortcuts is a free app that comes with the iPhone and iPad, allowing users to set up time-saving settings for various actions. These shortcuts can be accessed with a tap or by talking to Siri, Apple's digital assistant.

Currently, there are a total of 15 shortcuts available, but users also have the option to create their own and chain multiple actions into one shortcut. When opening Shortcuts, users will now see a list of options specifically for their Tesla. These shortcuts include locking and unlocking the vehicle, starting preconditioning, enabling or disabling Sentry and Dog mode, and opening and closing the charging port, boot, and bonnet.

Once a shortcut is set up, it can be accessed by talking to Siri or added to the Home Screen for easier access. With the ability to chain multiple actions into one shortcut, users can create more complex commands for their car. For example, a shortcut can be set up to lock the Tesla, close all windows, and enable Sentry mode, all with just one tap.

For those who want to take it a step further, the Shortcuts app also allows users to create Automations. These Automations enable shortcuts to run when certain conditions are met, such as arriving at a specific location or at a certain time of day.

To access this functionality, simply update the Tesla app on iOS to the latest version.
