Tesla is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its first Supercharger station in Europe by offering free charging for all electric vehicles today.

The initiative is not limited to Tesla owners, as all EV owners can take advantage of the offer on August 29th from 8am until the end of the day. However, the latest owners must start charging by 10.59pm.

The first Supercharger station in Europe was opened in Norway on August 29, 2013. Since then, the Supercharger network has grown to cover 36 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with over a thousand sites and 13,000 Superchargers.

Tesla claims that its Supercharger network is the largest ultra-fast charging network in Europe, with more than 9,200 Superchargers and 660 stations that accept all EVs.

The free charging promotion is part of Tesla's "electric summer" celebrations and a way to show appreciation to the Tesla community for their contribution in making the Supercharger network one of the largest and most reliable fast charging networks in Europe.

With the Supercharger network now open to drivers of all electric cars, Tesla sees this as an opportunity to expand charging options. Over 70% of the network is now accessible to all EVs.

Recently, Tesla launched its latest V4 Supercharger in the UK, which is compatible with all electric vehicles that have CCS compatibility. The first V4 Supercharger is located at the Tesla Centre Tottenham and features a three-meter charging cable and a contactless card payment terminal.

Tesla's Supercharger network has been highly regarded by EV owners in the UK, and the introduction of V4 Superchargers designed for all EVs is seen as a great benefit. The company plans to continue opening up existing sites to all electric vehicles in the UK.

The UK government is also supportive of electric vehicles and has been working to make owning an EV easier. Tesla's investment in EV charging and infrastructure, including the new public rapid charging hub, aligns with the government's efforts to transition to a green economy.
