2024 Skoda Kodiaq PHEV's interior undergoes complete transformation

The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq will feature physical dial controls for critical functions, as revealed by new images released by the Czech firm. The three dials, located between the centre console and dashboard, can be customized to adjust different functions. The official images show the system set up to manage climate settings for the front occupants, with stereo volume control between the two dials.

These dials on either side of the front occupants will allow for the management of cabin temperature, seat heating or ventilation, depending on user preference. The central controller, on the other hand, can alter fan speed, air direction, sound system volume, driving mode, and the zoom level of the sat-nav map.

In addition to the dial controls, the new Kodiaq will feature a large 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument display. The automatic gear selector has also been relocated from the centre console to a stalk on the steering wheel, providing more legroom for the front occupants.

The design of the new Kodiaq also emphasizes connectivity. USB-C ports are integrated into the rear-view mirror and centre console, along with a 15W wireless phone-charging box.

The Skoda Kodiaq has proven to be a successful SUV series, with the debut model followed by the popular Skoda Karoq and Kamiq. Now, Skoda is returning to where it all started with the upcoming new Kodiaq, set to be released in the first quarter of 2024. The second-generation large SUV will continue to share parts with other Volkswagen Group models, such as the new VW Tiguan. Pricing, trim levels, and equipment details will be confirmed later this year, but it is expected that there will be a standard Kodiaq version as well as a sportier-looking SportLine variant, with most versions offering seven seats. Furthermore, a hotter Skoda Kodiaq vRS version is anticipated to join the range approximately a year later.
