Toyota assembly line halted by computer glitch

TOKYO — Toyota's production in Japan has come to a halt as all 28 vehicle assembly lines across its 14 auto plants were shut down on Tuesday. This sudden shutdown was due to a problem in the company's computer system that handles incoming auto parts. While Toyota does not suspect a cyberattack, the cause of the issue is still being investigated, according to spokeswoman Sawako Takeda.

As of now, it remains uncertain when the assembly lines will resume operations. This unexpected disruption in production could potentially have significant implications for Toyota's supply chain and overall manufacturing output. The company will undoubtedly be working diligently to identify and resolve the problem in order to minimize any further delays or impact on its operations.
