Toyota Ireland has announced that the fifth-generation Prius is now available at their dealerships nationwide. The new Prius is exclusively available as a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and is priced from €45,900 (excluding delivery and related fees).

According to Toyota, the new generation Prius is expected to have high demand. It features a sleek and sloping design, representing a stylish evolution from the original Prius, which has sold over five million units to date. Key features of the new Prius include a 12.3" Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system, a new 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, and 19" alloys.

Toyota proudly states that the Prius PHEV does not compromise on hybrid energy efficiency. It can travel up to 71km in zero emissions mode after a single charge, subject to final homologation. This showcases Toyota's commitment to carbon neutrality and provides more options for those looking to embark on their hybrid electric journey.

In addition to the Prius PHEV, Toyota offers a wide range of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) such as the RAV4, and all-electric vehicles (BEVs) like the bZ4X. The Prius PHEV is designed to run like an electric vehicle for daily journeys, switching to an efficient hybrid model when the battery power is depleted.

Zoë Bradley, head of marketing communications in Toyota Ireland, commented on the arrival of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid, stating that demand is already increasing. She encouraged customers to visit their local dealer for test drives and to find out more about the next generation Prius.
