Track day enthusiasts often gravitate towards small manufacturers like Caterham, Radical, Dallara, BAC, Ariel, or Ginetta. However, there are also custom-made vehicles with racecar aesthetics and track-focused setups that capture their attention. One such example is the unnamed and unbranded prototype featured in the image, which was meticulously handbuilt using Audi parts.

Externally, this vehicle is designed to resemble the Group C racecars of the '80s and '90s. It boasts a low and wide stance, a droplet-shaped canopy, and a central driving position. The absence of mirrors and license plates indicates that this is strictly a track-only vehicle, not suitable for road use.

Notable features like the prominent splitter, wide shoulders, NACA-style air ducts, side exhausts, roof scoop, large rear wing, and wide rear tires all contribute to its track prowess. While it remains unclear if the build incorporates any motorsport genes beneath its striking appearance, the owner confirms the extensive use of Audi parts. Unfortunately, no specific details regarding the underpinnings or specifications have been provided. Based on its overall design, it is possible that this model is built on a custom chassis rather than utilizing a donor vehicle's architecture.

Powering this prototype is a rear-mounted V6 engine sourced from the first-generation Audi A4. Although the most fitting choice for this build would have been the bi-turbo 2.7-liter V6 from the original RS4, the prototype is equipped with a 2.8-liter unit taken from a lesser variant. This particular engine produces up to 190 horsepower (193 PS / 142 kW), which is still quite impressive for a lightweight vehicle. Additionally, it can be easily tuned for even more power. The owner assures potential buyers that the prototype is in working condition, albeit requiring some minor work.

This unique vehicle is currently located in the city of Vásárosnamény, Hungary, and was listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. It was recently shared in the Unique Cars For Sale 3.0 Group, with an asking price of €20,000 ($21,840). While this price makes it more affordable than most track-day toys, it is worth noting that a used Mazda MX-5 could be purchased and modified for considerably less. However, the listing is no longer available, suggesting that someone may have already purchased this one-of-a-kind prototype.
