Cryptic teasers are a common tactic used by automakers to generate excitement, and Volkswagen is the latest brand to join in on the fun. The company recently released a teaser video featuring a white rabbit, sparking speculation about the return of the Rabbit model.

In a social media post, Volkswagen stated, "Everyone likes cats. We like them, too. But today, we want to honor the rabbit – for good reason." This cryptic message has left fans eagerly awaiting more information.

According to Volkswagen, they have been working on a "very special vehicle" in their garage. While details are scarce, a countdown suggests that the mysterious vehicle will be unveiled in six days, on September 3. While Volkswagen has not provided any official information about the vehicle, there are a few possibilities that come to mind. Spy photographers spotted a hotter Golf R undergoing testing last year, featuring unique modifications. Additionally, Volkswagen has confirmed the release of a GTI 380 package for 2024.

Another possibility is that Volkswagen is putting the finishing touches on the facelifted Golf. Numerous prototypes have been spotted with minimal camouflage, showcasing an updated front bumper and slimmer headlights. Inside the cabin, a larger, free-standing display and a revised steering wheel have also been observed.
