2025 Cadillac CT5 Receives Sleek Redesign, Lyriq's Large Display

The Cadillac CT5, which has been on sale since 2019, is getting a refresh for the 2025 model year. Despite slow sedan sales in the US, Cadillac has decided to update the car's front fascia, interior, and other features. It's unclear how these changes will apply to the CT5-V Blackwing, but Cadillac promises more information in the future.

One of the most noticeable changes to the CT5 is its front end. The grille has been enlarged, the headlights are new, and the Sport model has its own unique modifications. The rear end has seen minimal changes, with some lighting updates in the taillights. In addition, there are two new colors available: Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic.

Inside the car, the CT5 has replaced its small infotainment display with a larger 33-inch curved screen, similar to what is found in the Lyriq and Escalade models. The instrument panel remains mostly unchanged, and there are no new interior color options. Other technology updates include enhanced lane-keep assist and the integration of Google's suite of apps, including Maps, the Play Store, and Google Assistant. Amazon Alexa is also now built-in, and there is an optional 5G hotspot.

Under the hood, the CT5's drivetrains remain the same. The base model has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 237 horsepower, while the larger 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is still an option, delivering 335 horsepower. Both options can be equipped with all-wheel drive.

More updates are expected for the CT5-V Blackwing in the near future, although no specific date has been provided. It's possible that there will be mechanical changes as well. Production of the updated CT5 will begin in spring 2024, with cars arriving at dealers shortly after.
