EGO POWER is known for its electric lawn care tools, including mowers, string trimmers, and chain saws. However, the company has now introduced something more exciting - an electric mini bike. The EGO POWER+ Mini Bike utilizes the same lithium-ion battery packs as their other tools, allowing for a thrilling ride with the power of a leaf blower.

It's important to note that the mini bike is not street legal and should only be ridden on dirt trails and off-road areas. With a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), it would be difficult to keep up with traffic on regular roads.

Instead of using the mini bike for commuting, riders are more likely to enjoy slinging dirt around with its cute off-road tires. The bike is powered by two 56V 7.5Ah ARC Lithium batteries, providing a maximum range of up to 18 miles (29 km) with 840 Wh of battery capacity. The range is likely measured in Eco mode, one of the three available riding modes. The mini bike also features a reverse mode, which is a useful addition considering its size.

Despite its toy-like appearance, the mini bike is well-equipped. It has full suspension and hydraulic brakes, ensuring a decent ride for a vehicle made from lawn mower parts.

While it's uncertain how powerful the rear hub motor is, reaching a speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) on a mini bike of this size is sure to feel exhilarating.

The price and release date of the mini bike are currently unknown. EGO has not provided many details or images, leaving us only with a mockup of what it might look like on a trail. However, the company assures us that it will be available "soon."

This electric mini bike is not the first of its kind, but it is the first to utilize lawn mower batteries for power. Other electric mini bikes have primarily been designed for road use. An off-road option like the EGO mini bike could be a great source of fun, especially for those with land to explore. Additionally, the swappable batteries allow for extended rides beyond the initial 18-mile range.

Just be sure not to use up all the battery packs on the same day you need to mow your lawn, or you'll have one less task crossed off your Honey-Do list.
