Exposed Tesla Cybertruck suspension system

A Tesla Cybertruck release candidate was recently spotted on the roadside in California, where it had apparently broken down. A motorist took advantage of the situation and captured some spy shots of the Cybertruck, including images of its suspension.

Photos of the abandoned Cybertruck have been shared online, revealing that the likely release candidate had experienced engine problems and was left covered at the roadside near Los Altos Hills in California. According to a report, a Tesla engineer attempted to fix the issue but had to resort to covering the vehicle and leaving it on the side of the road. This presented an opportunity for a curious bystander to take some sneaky shots of the forlorn truck.

The images show the Cybertruck covered with a reflective sheet, but it is also evident that the vehicle has a familiar camouflage pattern, suggesting that it could be a release candidate or even a prototype that has undergone terrain testing in other parts of the world. Some shots of the bottom of the Cybertruck reveal a grouping of holes that may be intended for a truck reversing speaker.

In another report, a series of Tesla Cybertruck suspension shots are shared, along with additional information from a former suspension engineer. According to the expert, the Cybertruck's suspension features a rear lower A-arm made of two welded steel pieces, which differs from the casting at the front. Additionally, there appears to be an actuator for dynamic damping modification. The comments about the Cybertruck's suspension are generally positive, describing it as simple but robust, although it is noted that it could still be a prototype system.
