Gates of Hell: Dodge Demon's Whine to Bank

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, known for its incredible speed, is one of the fastest vehicles in the world. With a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that has been rebuilt, it produces a whopping 1,025 horsepower and 945 pound-feet of torque when fueled with E85. In ideal conditions, this beast can go from zero to sixty mph in just 1.66 seconds. It can also complete a quarter mile in less than eight seconds, specifically 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph. The starting price for this powerful car is $96,666, excluding destination.

If you're interested in the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, you might also want to consider its predecessor, the original Demon. While not as powerful and fast as the Demon 170, the original Demon still packs a punch. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine generates up to 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque. It can complete a quarter mile in nine seconds and reach sixty mph in just 2.3 seconds.

On the used car market, the price of a normal Dodge Challenger SRT Demon can range from upwards of $200,000, depending on mileage and modifications. In fact, earlier this year, one was listed for sale at an astonishing $550,000. Although we don't know if it was sold, the car featured in the photo is not the ultra-hot 170 configuration and has already found a new owner. The modifications done by Roadshow International have made it look even more aggressive, and it likely sold for a significant amount.

This particular Demon sits 30 mm closer to the ground than the stock version and is equipped with five-spoke alloys with Forgiato center caps. It has a sleek satin black appearance, tinted windows, and a leather interior. To add a touch of color, purple accents can be seen on the front splitter, brake calipers, exterior logos, and various parts of the interior. Overall, it's a stunning look for this dreamy muscle car.
