Next-Generation Patrol Teased by Nissan Hyper Adventure Concept

Nissan is showcasing its latest concept vehicle, the Hyper Adventure Concept, which offers a glimpse into the future of off-roading. The eco-friendly vehicle will be presented in virtual form at the Japan Mobility Show and could potentially provide insights into the next-generation Patrol SUV. The concept features a downsized twin-turbo V6 engine, replacing the traditional V8 powertrain.

The Hyper Adventure Concept is equipped with V2X (vehicle-to-everything) technology, allowing it to serve as an energy source. This capability enables the vehicle to power gadgets, illuminate campsites, and even recharge electric jet skis. Additionally, the concept can provide power to homes or local communities by contributing excess energy to the grid.

With its edgy and minimalistic design, the Hyper Adventure Concept prioritizes aerodynamics. The vehicle incorporates clean lines and features a glass roof, side windows, and a flush rear end for enhanced aerodynamic performance. The wheels and bumpers are equipped with crampons for improved traction, and the rear boasts Tesla Model X-style falcon doors. The seats can rotate 180 degrees on an axle, and automatic extendable and retractable steps are also included.

Inside, the Hyper Adventure Concept creates a futuristic spaceship-like ambiance, with an abundance of screens and a merged instrument panel at the bottom of the windshield. The concept offers ample storage space for adventure enthusiasts, accommodating outdoor equipment such as tents, skis, or kayaks.

Although Nissan has not disclosed specific details about the battery pack or performance of the Hyper Adventure Concept, it does feature the e-4ORCE all-wheel-control system, which is also present in the Ariya electric SUV. The concept showcases Nissan's design direction, combining restraint with edginess, and exemplifies the appearance of lifestyle-oriented vehicles in the electrified era.

Overall, the Nissan Hyper Adventure Concept represents an exciting vision for the future of off-roading, offering both eco-friendliness and innovative features.
