Skoda Kodiaq: Fresh Interior Images and Prototype Review

The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is set to arrive later in 2023, and the Czech brand has released images of its redesigned interior and new features. The interior of the Kodiaq has a striking new look, with a relocated gear selector that creates more space for a spacious center console. It also features a large 13-inch infotainment screen with Skoda's new Smart Dials, which allow users to toggle between different functions and adjust them with the same knob.

The upcoming second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is expected to be slightly longer than the outgoing model and will have a larger 910-litre boot. The design of the new Kodiaq merges existing design cues from the Skoda range with elements of the brand's upcoming electric vehicles. The powertrains for the new Kodiaq will include a plug-in hybrid variant, as well as mild-hybrid, diesel, and petrol models.

The interior of the new Kodiaq features a large, chunky dashboard and makes use of sustainable materials such as recycled polyester and eco leather. It also includes innovative features like the Smart Dials and a 13-inch infotainment screen. Skoda will offer a variety of safety features, including Emergency Assist, Traffic Assist, and lane departure control.

The full reveal of the Skoda Kodiaq is expected to happen in autumn 2023, alongside the all-new Skoda Superb. While the starting price of the new Kodiaq is expected to be higher than the outgoing model, Skoda aims to provide good value for money compared to its competitors. Recently, a prototype of the Kodiaq was driven, and it was found to be similar to the outgoing model in terms of driving experience and performance.
