The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is set to be unveiled later this year, and the Czech brand has released images of its redesigned interior and new features. The interior of the Kodiaq has a striking new look, with a relocated gear selector that creates more space for a spacious centre console. It also features a large 13-inch infotainment screen with Skoda's new Smart Dials, which allow users to toggle between different functions and adjust them with the same knob.
The upcoming second-generation Kodiaq is expected to be slightly larger than the outgoing model, with a larger boot capacity of 910 litres. The design of the new Kodiaq takes an evolutionary approach, combining existing design cues from the Skoda range with elements of the brand's upcoming electric vehicles. The powertrains of the new Kodiaq will include a plug-in hybrid variant, as well as mild-hybrid, diesel, and petrol models.
The interior of the new Kodiaq features a large, chunky dashboard and makes use of sustainable materials, including 100% recycled polyester and eco leather. It also includes innovative features such as Smart Dials and a 13-inch infotainment screen. Skoda will offer a wide range of safety features on the new Kodiaq, including Emergency Assist and lane departure control.
The full reveal of the new Kodiaq is expected to happen in autumn 2023, and it is likely to have a higher starting price than the outgoing model. However, Skoda's focus on providing good value for money means it should still be competitive in its segment. Recently, a prototype of the new Kodiaq was driven, and it was found to be similar to the outgoing model in terms of driving experience.
