Suzuki Fronx Launch

Suzuki has cleverly combined the words "frontier" and "cross-over" to create the name "Fronx" for their latest vehicle. This name represents both the vehicle's ability to cross frontiers in the market segment and its design that bridges the gap between SUV and coupé. The addition of the letter "X" emphasizes the crossover nature of the Fronx. Not only does the name sound cool, but the driving experience is also exceptional.

The Suzuki Fronx is an excellent example of a vehicle that offers great value for money. In South Africa, approximately 79.3% of volume sales fall within the price range of R300,000 to R375,000. The Fronx is priced from R279,900 to R335,900, making it an attractive option for buyers looking for a high-quality vehicle at an affordable price. It is expected to make a significant impact on the local market.

The Fronx introduces a new styling concept to the Suzuki lineup, combining the features of a coupé and an SUV. This unique combination offers motorists a vehicle that is not only stylish but also delivers excellent performance and value for money. Brendon Carpenter, the brand marketing manager of Suzuki Auto South Africa, states that the Fronx demonstrates that buyers in the compact SUV segment do not have to compromise on style, performance, and safety.

The design of the Suzuki Fronx shares the same DNA as other recent models in the Suzuki lineup, such as the Grand Vitara and the Suzuki Baleno. The design language, called Crafted Futurism, combines a sense of well-built quality with forward-thinking styling. The result is a vehicle that incorporates signature Suzuki SUV design elements, such as the grille, with new design elements like a swooping roofline, bold wheel arches, dual-layer front lights, large alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps.

The Suzuki Fronx offers a wide range of colors and color combinations to cater to the preferences of young and young-at-heart buyers who want to stand out from the crowd. Buyers can choose from Arctic White Pearl, Splendid Silver Pearl Metallic, Grandeur Grey Pearl Metallic, Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic, Lucent Orange Pearl Metallic, and Bluish Black Pearl exterior paint options.

Inside the spacious cabin of the Suzuki Fronx, buyers will find a range of convenient features. All versions of the Fronx come equipped with a leather-clad multi-function steering wheel that includes buttons for Bluetooth connectivity, audio controls, and cruise control. Cruise control is a standard feature across all Fronx models. The steering wheel is adjustable for height, and GLX models also offer reach adjustment. Other convenience features include electric windows, automatic climate control with rear-seat ventilation, central locking, electric power steering, dual rear-mounted USB charging points, and a center console box that serves as both an armrest and storage compartment.

All versions of the Suzuki Fronx are powered by the popular K15B engine. This 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine delivers 77kW of power at 6,000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. Both GL and GLX models offer a choice between a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic transmission.

Suzuki is rapidly growing as a car brand in South Africa, with models like the Swift and Jimny winning awards in the 2019 Car of the Year competition. The Fronx offers a comfortable ride and handling, with an average fuel consumption of around 5.7 liters per 100 kilometers. It provides excellent value for money and features a spacious interior that can comfortably accommodate five adults, along with ample boot space.
