Home > Industry Analysis > Content

【Summary】The Tesla Cybertruck's frunk (front trunk) is revealed in a new photo, showing the Cybertruck logo and details such as a low load lip. The frunk is smaller than the Ford F-150 Lightning's but larger than the Rivian R1T's. The Cybertruck's air suspension may have a loading mode to make storage easier. The absence of a frunk hood liner suggests it may be a release candidate unit.

Tesla Cybertruck Frunk Unveiled

The commercial launch of the Tesla Cybertruck is approaching, with more prototypes and release candidate units being seen across the country. Recently, a photo posted on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum gave us a clear look at the Cybertruck's open frunk, revealing interesting details such as the embedded Cybertruck logo on the liner.

The frunk of Tesla's first-ever pickup is not the largest, but it does have some unique features. The load lip is practically nonexistent, which should make it easier to load heavy items. However, the load height appears to be higher than on a Model Y, which is expected due to the Cybertruck's larger size. It is possible that the air suspension setup could offer a loading mode that lowers the front end for easier frunk access.

One noticeable detail is the absence of a frunk hood liner in the photo. It's important to note that this could be a release candidate unit that may still have some missing components, as deliveries have not started yet.

Comparing the front trunks of different electric pickups, the Ford F-150 Lightning has the largest frunk, followed by the Cybertruck. The Cybertruck's frunk has the advantage of a low lip, unlike the Rivian R1T, which has the highest loading level. However, the R1T features a Gear Tunnel, an additional lockable storage compartment between the cabin area and the bed.

As always, we are interested in hearing your thoughts on this latest Cybertruck information. Please share your opinion in the comments section below.
