【Summary】Travis Perkins has chosen Zenith for a five-year fleet management deal, covering over 3,000 assets including vehicles and forklifts. The partnership aims to improve vehicle availability and efficiency through overnight servicing and reduce carbon emissions. Zenith's call handling expertise and focus on customer service were also key factors in the decision.
Travis Perkins, a builders' merchant, has entered into a five-year fleet management agreement with Zenith. The deal will cover service, maintenance, and repair for over 3,000 assets, including heavy goods vehicles, LCVs, cars, Moffett truck-mounted forklifts, and trailers. Zenith will replace the current fleet management provider, with a phased transfer starting in December and a full switch expected by January 2024.
Zenith was selected as the preferred provider through a competitive tender process. One of the key factors in their selection was their ability to offer more overnight servicing, which can reduce downtime and improve vehicle availability and efficiency. Additionally, Zenith's servicing network aligns with Travis Perkins' operational footprint, contributing to the company's goal of reducing carbon emissions by 80% by 2030.
Travis Perkins also considered Zenith's call handling expertise when making their decision. Zenith's extensive resources, large-scale teams, and technical support staff will provide efficient and effective support, allowing branch colleagues to focus on serving customers.
Richard Byrne, HSE and fleet director of Travis Perkins, expressed excitement about the partnership with Zenith and their shared commitment to customer service, efficiency, and sustainability. Martin Jenkins, CEO of Zenith's Commercial Division, highlighted their experience in fleet management and their confidence in delivering technology-led solutions to maximize the company's investment in its commercial fleet.
