Ultra-long range electric motorcycle unveiled by Evoke

Electric motorcycles have made significant advancements in terms of performance, but their range has always been a limiting factor. However, Evoke Motorcycles is set to change that with the introduction of their new 2024 Evoke 6061-GT electric motorcycle, which is about to make its debut in North America.

Evoke Motorcycles has been known for producing urban-oriented naked bikes with a focus on sporty commuter designs. In 2020, they entered the cruiser market with their original 6061 design, featuring a unique twin-plate aluminum exo-frame.

Unlike most electric roadsters and sportbikes, the Evoke 6061 offered a relaxed cruiser frame, providing a more comfortable seating position. Now, the 2024 version of the motorcycle, heading to North America, is receiving several updates, including a massive battery pack for extended touring.

The new 2024 Evoke 6061-GT is equipped with a 30 kWh battery pack, offering an impressive range of up to 660 km (410 miles) per charge. This range is calculated based on city riding conditions, with an average speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) commonly found in urban areas.

For mixed riding, the range is listed as 497 km (308 miles), and at highway speeds, it is said to achieve 335 km (205 miles). The motorcycle is powered by a 90 kW (120 hp) motor, capable of reaching a top speed of 230 km/h (140 mph), although the range may be affected at higher speeds.

The 2024 6061-GT features updated exterior fairings, a lighter axial flux motor, and wider tires. It also boasts a fast charging system that can recharge the battery to 80% in just 30 minutes from a DC fast charging station.

Nathan Siy, CEO of Evoke Motorcycles, stated that the 6061-GT is designed for long-range riders who enjoy motorcycle touring. He emphasized the bike's exhilarating riding experience, impressive range, and ample power.

The Evoke 6061-GT is already available for order in the US and Canada, with shipping expected to begin in April 2024. The price is set at US $24,995, putting it in line with other long-range electric motorcycles in the market.

Evoke Motorcycles also announced that European orders will open in early 2024 for selected regions, although specific details about the countries were not provided.

This release of the 6061-GT follows Evoke Motorcycles' recent unveiling of a new electric dirt bike, showcasing their commitment to expanding their electric motorcycle lineup.
