The Edifice Type R Edition's case is constructed entirely of carbon fiber-reinforced resin, ensuring durability and making it suitable for use in any location. Additionally, it offers a water resistance of up to 10 bar (100 meters), allowing users to confidently wear it in water. To further enhance its toughness, the watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

For users who require visibility in low-light conditions, the Edifice Type R Edition is equipped with toggleable LED lights for both the digital display and face. This ensures that nighttime usage is not a problem.

Unlike many other watches, the Edifice Type R Edition does not rely on batteries for power. Instead, it utilizes the brand's Tough Solar Charging system. This innovative technology allows the watch to generate power for up to seven months, even without exposure to light. This eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements and ensures continuous functionality.

Operating and adjusting the watch is a breeze. Users have the option to link it to a smartphone app, which enables automatic time adjustment and facilitates the setup of alarms and world time functions. The watch can store 38 different time zones, each displayed with a corresponding city name. Additionally, it can accurately track daylight savings time changes, providing convenience and accuracy for users who frequently travel.
