Chinese company reveals imitation of Tesla Cybertruck
【Summary】Chinese electric-car start-up Xpeng has unveiled a six-wheel concept vehicle inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck. The vehicle, called the 'Land Aircraft Carrier', is designed for emergency service providers in rugged terrain. It features a hatch at the rear that can store and launch a flying car. While the design similarities to the Cybertruck are apparent, the Xpeng vehicle is a hybrid and relies on a petrol engine.
Chinese electric-car start-up Xpeng is set to make waves in the automotive industry with its latest concept vehicle. The company has unveiled a six-wheel SUV that bears a striking resemblance to Tesla's Cybertruck. However, Xpeng's creation takes things a step further by featuring a rear compartment capable of launching a small aircraft.
The Land Aircraft Carrier, as it is called, is primarily designed for emergency service providers operating in challenging terrains like mountains. The SUV's angular panels, flat sides, and unpainted steel finish clearly draw inspiration from Tesla's controversial electric pick-up. However, unlike the Cybertruck, Xpeng's SUV is a hybrid that relies on a petrol engine for operation in hazardous conditions.
One of the most unique aspects of the Land Aircraft Carrier is its ability to store and deploy a helicopter-style 'flying car' from its rear cargo area. Although the small two-person aircraft does not have wheels, it offers an innovative solution for transportation needs in remote areas.
While currently just a concept, there is a possibility that the Land Aircraft Carrier could become a part of Xpeng's vehicle lineup in the future. The Chinese start-up already has four electric cars in development and has partnered with Volkswagen to co-develop models specifically for the Chinese market.
Overall, Xpeng's bold concept demonstrates the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle design and exploring unconventional transportation solutions.
