Tesla's Cybertruck is making headlines as the first Release Candidate production units are being loaded and shipped out of Giga Texas. These units have been captured in spy shots and videos, revealing interesting details about the electric pickup.
One of the standout features of the Cybertruck is its scratch-resistant steel body finish. Tesla's chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, has stated that the stainless steel finish will not only be resistant to scratches but will also allow owners to easily perform self-repairs on any deeper grooves.
Tesla describes the Cybertruck as having an "Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin" on its website. Additionally, the steel used in the Starship exterior and the Cybertruck body is produced by Steel Dynamic Inc., as stated in the Peterson Museum exhibit.
Closeup shots of a loaded Cybertruck being shipped out of the factory provide a closer look at its features. The shots showcase the tonneau cover, the 285/65R20 winter tire size, and even offer a glimpse of the shock absorber system through the wheel well.
The Cybertruck is expected to come with adjustable air suspension, allowing it to be raised or lowered as needed. This feature was recently demonstrated when the Cybertruck was seen alongside a Rivian R1T. Tesla boasts a maximum lift mode that provides 16 inches of clearance and has designed the truck with generous approach and departure angles of 35 degrees and 28 degrees respectively, making it easier to navigate obstacles on the ground.
In addition to these exciting features, Tesla's Cybertruck is also available for purchase on Amazon, where customers can find the 48A Tesla Wall Connector with a 24" cable.
