A social media user has gained praise for seeking revenge on his 'entitled' neighbor who would drive through his garden to park his cars. The neighbor, named Richard, used to park his Porsche in the backyard and would drive beyond the separation line of the two houses to do so. However, the user's next-door neighbor grew tired of Richard's inconsiderate behavior and took action to prevent it.
Sharing the story on Reddit, the user @LnGass explained that their parents had lived in the same house for 50 years, with three neighbors on the north side during that time. The first neighbor was a hermit named Elenore, who passed away when the user was in high school. After a few years, Richard bought the property.
One day, the user returned home to find Richard cutting down bushes on their property. The user and their father confronted Richard, informing him that the bushes belonged to them and they were not happy about it. Richard, however, didn't care and insisted he needed to do it to park his cars in the backyard.
Despite suggesting a logical solution, Richard stormed off and the next day the bush had disappeared. With the bushes gone, Richard began driving his cars through the user's property and into the backyard. Frustrated, the neighbors decided to install a metal fence to mark the property line and protect their lawn from further damage.
The user and their father placed the metal fence posts 5 inches on their side of the property line, leaving very little room for Richard to maneuver his cars. When Richard returned home and saw the fence, he expressed his frustration through cursing and yelling. In his attempt to get one of his cars out, Richard ended up damaging the car and skewing the newly installed fence towards the user's property.
Adding to Richard's woes, the neighbors called the police and reported the damage, resulting in Richard receiving a ticket for damaging their property. Reddit users praised the courageous neighbors for standing up to Richard's behavior, with some suggesting they should have sued over the bushes. Others shared their own negative experiences with people named Richard.
