Vision Neue Klasse: BMW's Brand Transformation

BMW is preparing to introduce the Vision Neue Klasse, a concept car that will showcase the brand's next generation of electric vehicles. The automaker has released teasers for the highly anticipated vehicle, suggesting that it will have a significant impact on the company's history.

The official unveiling of the electric concept car is scheduled for September 2, and BMW has already revealed that it will closely resemble the production car expected to launch in 2025. CEO Oliver Zipse has described the concept as an evolution of previous BMW i Vision concepts, such as the BMW i Vision Dee.

In a recent teaser, BMW turned the spotlight on its design team, allowing them to share their thoughts on the upcoming model. Although the teaser provides minimal glimpses of the car itself, it emphasizes the importance of the concept car to the brand.

One designer expresses admiration for the yellow interior, while another appreciates the temperature controls. The head of BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk, makes a significant statement, stating that he believes the BMW brand will be transformed with the launch of the Neue Klasse. The design team's enthusiasm for the project is evident in their comments.

BMW CEO Oliver Zipse has previously described the Vision Neue Klasse as a "mega-project" that encompasses the entire company and represents the future of the BMW brand. Reports suggest that the production version of the car will feature sixth-generation batteries with improved range, energy density, and charging capabilities, as well as reduced CO2 emissions during manufacturing.

BMW has confirmed that six vehicles will be based on the dedicated EV architecture of the Neue Klasse. These vehicles are expected to debut between 2025 and 2027, further solidifying the brand's commitment to electric mobility.
