2024 Tesla Model 3: A Top Aerodynamic Vehicle

The Tesla Model 3 has proven to be more aerodynamic than even the Porsche Taycan, with a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd. However, there are a few cars that are even more aero-friendly, such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan, which boasts a drag coefficient of 0.202 Cd.

But what does this mean in the real world? Electric vehicle manufacturers strive to improve aerodynamics in order to reduce drag and increase range, as evidenced by the latest model updates.

For example, the new Model 3 Standard Range RWD can now travel up to 319 miles on a single charge, which is 14 miles more than its predecessor. Similarly, the Long Range AWD variant has a range of 391 miles, compared to the previous model's 374 miles. It's important to note that these figures are WLTP-rated, so we can expect slightly lower numbers under EPA standards.
